Properties of Concrete Columns Strengthened by CFRP-UHPC under Axial Compression

Ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) is a kind of structural material with ultra-high strength, extremely low porosity, and excellent durability, which has broad application prospects. In order to promote the UHPC constrained by carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets as strengthening in practical engineering, total nine specimens were designed, two kinds layer thickness (35 mm 45 mm, respectively) designed. By changing constraint form (longitudinal reinforcements ordinary stirrups, longitudinal spiral CFRP sheets, respectively), axial compression performance strengthened column was explored. The study shows that compared without column, uplift carrying capacity test 277–561%. reinforcement little influence on lifting capacity. Among three different methods, wrapped best improvement effect ductility, followed stirrups layer. With increase layers from five layers, maximum increases 21.3%. types UHPC-strengthened columns theoretically calculated, accuracy theoretical calculation method verified comparing value value, provides basis for future.
